Badrinath and Kedarnath are two significant pilgrimage sites located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Both of these places hold great importance in Hinduism and attract a large number of devotees every year.
Badrinath is a town located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, situated at an altitude of 3,133 meters above sea level. It is one of the four sacred shrines in Hinduism known as Chota Char Dham, and it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The main attraction of Badrinath is the Badrinath temple, which is said to be over a thousand years old and is believed to be one of the holiest temples in India.
On the other hand, Kedarnath is a town situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters above sea level, and it is located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is also one of the Chota Char Dham shrines and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Kedarnath temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is believed to have been built by the Pandavas during the Mahabharata era.
Both Badrinath and Kedarnath are surrounded by beautiful scenic views of the Himalayan mountains and are considered to be among the most revered pilgrimage sites in India
