About this tour

Tungnath is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar temples. The path is surrounded by scenic views and captivating flora and fauna on both sides. The trek is pleasant but is a gradual steep climb. It ascends sharply towards the end. You can also notice a change in the landscape due to an increase in altitude. Chandrashilla, literally means “Moon Rock”. It is located at a height of about 3,690 metres (12,110 ft) above sea level. This peak provides views of the Himalayas, including Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba peaks.

Itinerary

Journey from Haridwar to Guptkashi is 215 kms long ride takes approximately 6-7 hours to reach.
Don’t forget to take pictures at the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers at DevprayagThe Ganga Formation.
Check in to the hotel around 5-6 pm relax and have dinner around 8-9 pm.
We advise our travelers to get proper rest, as we are going to start our next day's journey at 2-3 am past midnight.

After breakfast we will drive to Lord Tungnath ji trek starting point which is 13 km away.
Trek distance is 5 km one side and 1 km to Chandrashilla, which will take around 6 hours approx to climb.
After darshan, we will start back trekking to reach our hotel for delicious dinner which will take around 4 hours to back trek and 1 hour drive to reach and that's it for the day.

After breakfast check-out from the hotel.
